In the digital age, organizations rely heavily on IT to function properly. Server management is the foundation of many IT functions, including data storage, website hosting, email, and software. Without reliable and functioning servers, most IT operations would be compromised.
Server management involves the monitoring and maintenance of servers to ensure they operate efficiently and at optimal performance levels. This includes the management of hardware, software, security, and backups to keep the IT environment running smoothly and efficiently.
As CTO at IMS-Network, my primary responsibility is to ensure the security and uptime of our server infrastructure. IMS places a high value on security and availability, with more than 5,000 players depending on our servers each month. Downtime is simply not an option.
As the person responsible for managing our server farms, I have a range of responsibilities and challenges.
It is my job to monitor the performance and availability of our servers and implement measures to prevent and resolve any issues that may arise.
This includes tasks such as software and security updates, backups, and troubleshooting.
I also work closely with other teams to ensure that our server infrastructure is properly integrated with the rest of the IT environment.
Ensuring the security and uptime of our servers is a critical part of my role as CTO.
I am dedicated to delivering the highest level of service to our users, and my team and I are committed to continuously improving our infrastructure to meet their needs
